Akshay gets extortion calls, suspects domestic help |Po3m Punch

Earlier we had seen Akshay Kumar at the Mumbai Crime Branch. He went there to discuss his roles in helping the Mumbai police in controlling the escalating crimes against women. But now it seems that he went there for an additional purpose. Of late, Akshay Kumar is getting extortion calls from a gangster.
The gangster has demanded the actor a sum of Rs. 5 crores. Akshay informed the police that he suspected his ex domestic help behind this extortion call. Akshay fired his domestic help a few months ago.
Talking about the domestic help, a crime branch officer said, “He had been working for Akshay for quite some time and wanted remuneration for his years of service, which Akshay refused. Angered, the man passed on information about the star and his lifestyle to the underworld.”
According to sources the gangster is named Ravi Pujari. Over the past few weeks, he has many calls to Akshay regarding the extortion money and is not ready to settle down from his 5 crores demand.
The police have been searching for Akshay’s ex domestic help.
“The nature of the information the caller shared confirmed the theory that somebody from within the household had got in touch with him or one of his henchmen. But so far we have not been able to substantiate this as the domestic help is yet to be traced”, said a senior crime branch official.
The Juhu police have also been informed about the incidence and they are keeping a close watch on the actor’s residence in Juhu. However, Akshay was unavailable for comment as he is shooting in Jodhpur.
Many celebrities have fallen prey to underworld and gangster in the past. Many have received extortion calls but with the help of police a number of cases have been efficiently solved also.
Akshay Kumar was last seen in ‘Boss’ which was Anthony D’ Souza movie. The film failed to impress at the box office and did average business but Akshay was happy with the response. He had said, “I am very thankful to the audience that they are watching the film and have loved it. That's what an artist wants.”
